Carbon Neutral

Taking personal responsibility for our carbon footprint is important to us, and even though it can seem like a drop in the ocean when faced with the true scale of global warming - doing something is better than nothing. If everybody take steps towards a greener future, change will happen sooner.

We looked into the ways that we can have the biggest impact of minimising our personal and business C02, and will continue to make improvements where we can. Most of the changes we've made have also saved us a tonne of money, and even added more fun to our lives with an incredibly good electric car.

Here are some changes that we've made, and a few Charities and organisations that we financially support.

We donate each Month to the 'World Land Trust' which funds the nurturing, planting and protecting of one tree that helps restore a forest for wildlife.

World Land Trust has planted Millions of Trees, protected 770,000 acres of tropical forests and other threatened habitats, and include Patrons Chris Packham and Sir David Attenborough.

Changing your Energy supplier to a 100% renewable one will more than likely save you money, as well as supply you with guilt free electricity. Instead of burning Coal to produce energy, Octopus uses Hydropower plants, wind farms & solar. They supply enough clean Energy to the grid which more than covers all of their customers needs.

We've switched to Octopus Energy recently, as they have the best tariff to charge an Electric Car (just 5p per kWh during the evenings) and can highly recommend their service. From switching suppliers to moving house - they make things incredibly easy.

We have referred a lot of friends & family to join, which gets us and them a £50 referral fee. If you join using the following link, you'll receive a £50 credit too!

We've wanted an Electric car for years now, and finally - we have one! It's a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus which in a nut shell: Can do 240 miles per charge, produces zero emissions, is the safest car in the world, is silent, can drive itself as it has autopilot, 0-60 in 5 seconds, huge boot plus front boot where an engine usually lives, no service costs as there's no engine/gearbox/exhaust etc, no Tax, regular 'over-the-air' software updates (which have included more range, better braking distance, You-Tube & Netflix added etc) and will cost just £200 per year in electricity for us to do 10,000 miles. This car will pay for itself in savings over 10 years.

Tesla's mission is to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy, and along with their Solar roofs and Battery storage systems they are leading the way to a better future for this Planet. With so many lies and corruption in the Auto industry (diesel gate for example) we wanted to buy a car from a company that uses our money towards a genuine ethical future. Tesla is it.

If you would like to know more, or have a drive in one, Will is more than happy to give you a spin! Do get in touch :-)

...Speaking of Tesla, what tipped us over the edge to buy one in the first place was stumbling over this great little YouTube channel called 'Now you Know'. Zac & Jesse are spreading the word of Tesla and offering practical advice on how to move forward with sustainability, and are more than a glimmer of hope in educating people to make better choices for the future. We love what they are doing, and have been Patreon supporters for some time now. Check them out, and subscribe to their channel;
